Generalist AI is a San Mateo robotics lab founded in 2024 by Pete Florence, Andy Zeng and Andrew Barry, who came from DeepMind and Boston Dynamics. What it is building: physical AGI: hardware-agnostic cross-embodiment models (GEN-0, GEN-1). It has raised $750M in disclosed rounds, most recently a Series B extension of $200M at a $3B valuation in August 2026, led by 8VC. It has not released anything outsiders can use yet.
