Safe Superintelligence: who founded it, who funds it

Safe Superintelligence is a Palo Alto superintelligence lab founded in 2024 by Ilya Sutskever, Daniel Gross and Daniel Levy, who came from OpenAI and Apple. What it is building: a straight shot at safe superintelligence, insulated from short-term commercial pressure. No product, no roadmap. It has raised $8B in disclosed rounds, most recently a Strategic of $5B at a $32B valuation in July 2026, led by Nvidia. It is still in stealth, with nothing outsiders can use.
