Emulate: who founded it, who funds it
Emulate is a London world model lab founded in 2026 by Jack Parker-Holder, Matthew McGill and Philip Ball, who came from DeepMind. What it is building: world models from the DeepMind Genie team; incorporated in August 2026 and already courting a $700M seed. No funding round has been disclosed. It is still in stealth, with nothing outsiders can use.
